Seattle, Washington

Account Executive (Technical)

IPinfo is a leading provider of IP address data. Our API handles over 40 billion requests a month, and we also license our data for use in many products and services you might have used. We started as a side project back in 2013, offering a free geolocation API, and we've since bootstrapped ourselves to a profitable business with a global team of 14, and grown our data offerings to include geolocation, IP to company, carrier detection, and VPN detection. Our customers include T-Mobile, Nike, DataDog, DemandBase, Clearbit, and many more.

This is a fully remote role although your prospects will be based in EMEA and the US, your working hours will be based around these time zones.

The role is a quota-carrying role with an annual revenue target of USD $750,000+ once fully ramped, although commissions are uncapped.

How We Work

We are a growing and ambitious team, spread all over the globe. We sync up on a monthly all-hands Zoom call, and most teams do a call together every 2 weeks. Everything else happens asynchronously, via Slack, GitHub, Linear, and Notion. That means you can pick the hours that work best for you, to allow you to be at your most productive.

To thrive in this environment you'll need to have high levels of autonomy and ownership. You have to be resourceful and able to work effectively in a remote setup.

The Role

This is a blended sales role and you’ll be joining a high-growth startup that grew 60% last year. We have a solid inbound engine and it is expected that you will acquire 60-70% of your leads/opportunities via our inbound and marketing efforts, with the remaining 30-40% acquired through your own direct outbound prospecting.

You will lead opportunities and be responsible for guiding deals to close, which will include identifying and closing sales opportunities, preparing and delivering technical presentations, explaining our products and services to existing and prospective customers.

As an early member of our sales team (and the company), you'll get to help set culture, direction and help us build out our processes and best practices internally. These contributions will ultimately help us cement our position as an industry leader.

  • Comfortable working in a small team and the ability to be flexible in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

  • Experience with working as part of a remote team for a sustained period of time.
  • Experience with tools like Slack, GitHub, Linear, and Notion.
  • You have great interpersonal skills and can present yourself professionally on a Zoom call.
