Paved is an established and fast-growing marketplace connecting brands with top-performing email newsletters that reach interesting and engaged audiences. We help brands like Salesforce, Uber, and Square sponsor email newsletters like Business Insider, Bloomberg, and Flipboard.

We are looking for a top-performing Account Executive for Publisher Accounts to join our team to drive revenue for our publisher partners. In this role, you will pitch innovative email sponsorship packages to brands looking for new approaches to B2B advertising and content marketing.
You will:
- Drive sales for our strategic publisher partners by researching and identifying brand prospects, contacting them, and driving deals to close
- Pitch sponsorship placements and branded content packages to brands interested in running B2B campaigns
- Build your pipeline, prospect, nurture, and close sponsorship deals
- Meet and exceed the quarterly revenue goals for our strategic publishers
- Come up with new sponsorship package concepts as needed and create a feedback loop with publishers to share what is working vs not working
- Update our CRM to track your pipeline, activity, and report on key metrics
- Create new outreach emails, call scripts, pitch materials, and cadences
- Work with cross-functional teams like Marketing and Product to develop new content
- Become a Paved subject matter expert and evangelist in the market
We’re looking for someone who has:
- 3+ years of direct sales experience (ideally in media, advertising, or marketing services)
- Proven ability to prospect, pitch, and close deals with marketing decision-makers
- Experience executing full-sales cycle
- Proven track record of hitting and exceeding quotas
- Comfortable with cold outreach and writing own pitch material
- Excellent written, communication, and negotiation skills
- Entrepreneurial, results-oriented mindset and collaborative working style
- Successful in a team, startup, and remote environment
- Experience with Hubspot, Salesforce, or other CRMs
- Fluent in English
Nice to have:
- Prior experience working in advertising/media sales
- Prior experience at a high growth startup
- Experience working a range of deal sizes, from smaller transactional deals to large strategic B2B deals
