Full Job Description

Call Simulator is a well-funded growth-stage company harnessing the power of artificial intelligence for good. We provide an AI-based emergency call training platform that fully integrates with Priority Dispatch's ProQA software, used by over 3,700 9-1-1 emergency call centers around the world. In a nutshell, we have created the inverse of a chatbot where our technology simulates a caller instead of the agent. This augmented-training software reduces the need for expensive human role-playing, while dramatically increasing the proficiency of call center agents. We have already gone past the proof-of-concept phase and are currently generating revenue from clients. Although our initial focus is with 9-1-1 emergency call centers, our vision is to expand this model into other industries such as banking, telehealth, insurance, and tier-1 brand customer support.

Full Stack Engineer's Essential Functions:

• Contribute to many areas as we continue to grow our product and service offerings
• Develop new features by working closely with a team from conception and design to testing and deployment
• Exercise a rigorous hypothesize, test, and execute methodology to develop new and experimental features
• Contribute to and maintain dozens of microservices and their various APIs
• Rotate with different team members to squash bugs and hammer away at the backlog
• Regularly collaborate with colleagues, machine learning engineers, and academics in vigorous, fast-paced meeting

Requirements

Required skills/experience:

• Proven work experience as a Full Stack developer
• 3+ years of experience with JavaScript
• 1+ years of experience with Vue, React, Angular, or related frameworks
• Strong development background with experience in architecture design
• An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
• Practical experience with:
  • Building customer-facing web applications at scale
  • OAuth or Single Sign-On authentication systems
  • SQL and NoSQL databases e.g. Document databases, and/or key-value stores.
  • Writing well-tested code and debugging production issues
  • Working in an Agile environment
  • AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure
  • Browser testing and debugging

Recommended or preferred skills/experience:

• Familiarity with writing tests for CI and tools for CD pipelines, such as Cloud Build with Github triggers
• Strong familiarity with GCP - preferably GCP certification
• Practical experience with:
  • Infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and/or CloudFormation
  • Cloud Functions or other function-as-a-service (FaaS) solutions
  • Python 3.x, Vue, and Javascript
  • Containerization and Docker
  • PostgreSQL and creating ORMs with, SQLAlchemy for example
  • Firestore and Firebase Authentication
