Account Executive

Our mission at Product Hunt is to surface great products every day and support our community of Makers in building the future. We obsess over delivering an amazing experience to all of our users and we are building a world-class team to achieve that.

We’ve been around since 2014 and have accomplished a lot with our small but mighty team. But we’ve hit an inflection point and are taking the team through a significant growth phase - we’ve already doubled the team to 50 people over the last year. With our most recent $23 million financing round, we’re ready to find even more ways to deliver value to makers and tech enthusiasts around the world.

We’re seeking an ambitious Account Executive to join our sales team (currently one person) to help drive significant ad revenue growth. You will report to our COO and will grow your own seven-figure book of business.

Our ideal candidate:

  • You have 2+ years of experience building a regular book of business and are excited to learn our business quickly and partner with amazing tech companies that are looking to find their next customers.
  • You take great pride in your ability to connect with your clients and help them achieve the value they are seeking. You have a more consultative approach to sales and can share examples of times when you’ve said no to a sale because it wasn’t a good fit and why.
  • You take initiative and ownership of your work. You understand the importance of keeping info and data clean in a CRM and have a go-to system you use for handling admin tasks of a campaign well, including setup and ongoing client management for your own deals as well as supporting major deals.
  • You love wearing different hats and pitching in in different areas (we’re a startup after all!). One day you might be supporting new revenue initiatives, another you might be helping with partnerships outreach, events sponsorship or facilitating introductions for other business units.
