Here are a few tips from our CEO to make sure your resume stands out from the crowd.

Why We’re Hiring For This Role

Our Senior Technical Product Manager, Tony, explains the important role you will play within our Product team. Watch this video.
Over the past decade, Float has established a strong, sustainable product-market fit. Our customers are typically leaders at creative agencies, studios and professional services firms, that rely on Float for its deep resource planning capabilities, and integration with their existing project management and chat services.

With an obsessive focus on helping our customers make the most of their time, and solid technical foundations, our growth is accelerating. We’re moving into an exciting phase of our scale-up journey with uncapped market potential.

In 2022, we’re aiming to understand emerging users and use cases, land more users per subscription and expand within larger organizations. We currently have two Product pillars - Core experience and Scale. This newly created role will form part of the Scale team, with a focus on apps and integrations.

You’ll be working with a smart, dedicated team from across the globe asynchronously, with a strong focus on understanding customer needs and creating experiences to meet those needs, while also delivering value to the business. You’ll be helping define the future of team capacity planning for professional service teams around the world.

You’ll be working asynchronously with a bright, dedicated team from across the globe, with a strong focus on taking complex problems and creating solutions that feel simple and intuitive for our customers.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

You’ll take ownership of our apps, integrations and mobile roadmap, defining the features and specifications, in collaboration with the Scale team. You’ll work closely and report to our Senior Product Manager who will guide the strategic direction to ensure this work aligns with department and company OKRs.

Early on, you'll be learning how our current customers are using our current apps, integrations and API - the feature requests and growth opportunities. Starting to form ideas and proposals to inform the roadmap. Once you are a bit more settled, we expect that you will jump into the following projects:
  • Advanced calendar and project integration use cases
  • Simplifying our developer API experience
  • Strengthening app workflows that complement the core experience

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

To be successful in this role, you will need several years of experience in:
  • SaaS app integrations - a deep understanding of email, calendar, team chat, project management, time tracking and invoicing apps
  • Technical Product Management working with APIs and/or SDKs, with a bias toward Product-led, scaling companies
  • Saas metrics and the challenges of scaling a SaaS business
  • Serving small and medium-sized enterprises, where the priority is saving users time, not spending it
  • Identifying and prioritizing customer feature requests vs opportunities to experiment with new technologies, workflows or visualizations, ensuring we’re at the forefront when it comes to better and faster ways for teams to plan and track time
  • Communicating ideas in a predominantly asynchronous environment, clearly, persuasively and motivationally
  • Translating company vision and product strategy into timeboxed projects, managing and executing these through to production with peers in Engineering and QA, maintaining the bar for both quality and performance
  • Writing specifications for product features and projects, setting success metrics and measuring our products against them
  • Appreciating design and validating your intuition with data
As a fully remote team, we’re looking for someone comfortable with asynchronous communication as the default, which means you have previous remote experience and are comfortable using tools like Slack, Loom, and Asana to communicate as needed. Don’t worry—you will have significant deep work time since we have very few meetings.
