Senior Ruby on Rails Developer ($3,800 - $5,150) REMOTE
Must-haves
- At least 5 years of commercial experience working with Ruby on Rails
- Efficiency in writing automatic tests (Capybara/rspec)
- Experience working with 3rd party APIs such as payment gateways, fulfillment providers, tax services, analytics, marketing automation
- Good team player skills
- Good knowledge of building performant SQL queries
- Ability to deliver the feature from 0 to 1
- Digest 3rd party API documentation
- Creative, open-minded, get-sh*t-done approach
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Spree, Solidus, Shopify
- Experience working with Woo Commerce, BigCommerce or Magento/Adobe Commerce API
- Experience writing automatic tests in Cypress
- Hotwire experience
- Open-source contributions
The recruitment process:
- A Test Task - its main objective s to create a simple Ruby SDK for Vendo API. This task shouldn’t take more than 4-5 hours to complete. The goal is not to have a fully implemented solution, work-in-progress is more than enough! We just want to see how would you approach this challenge. Working with 3rd party systems and APIs would be a big chunk of your work at Vendo.
